Swirl of Lies

While my eyes cry and search for flies
Like your never ending swirl of lies
Ogling stars glittering
Sordid pleasure tinkering
Flailing hands reach out to darkness of lightning...
Mother's lullaby, forlorn passer-by,
Drifting through mindless backgammon..
Words fear, tears jeer, faces summon-
Your eyes,
Your lies..
Your gray swirling lies...

While your eyes smile and gaze at skies
Like your tapestry of broken lies
Gray and pink teetering
Purple star slithering
Swirling lies swiveled to grim azure quivering..

Eyes and lies vie for self-less sublime
Some cries
Some lies
Some flocks of stray lies...

Indeed, lies do tend to swirl together. Nice One Shot!

Lies hurt but also make great poetry fodder. Your One Shot link took me to an old post so I clicked on your masthead to see what else you had. Glad I did.

I'm catching pain - the searing kind. Our world sure knows it's share of it. I know poet's words have the capacity to heal. I'm glad you can write from that raw level.

Nicely done for One Shot

@Moondustwriter.. Poet's words have the capacity to heal..while he himself conjures something cathartic out of it... Glad you liked it.. :)

Wow, deep and meaningful poem. Very well written.
It'd be better if you avoid ending various lines with "..."

My favorite lines would be "Flailing hands reach out to darkness of lightning...
Mother's lullaby, forlorn passer-by,
Drifting through mindless backgammon..
Words fear, tears jeer, faces summon-"
Keep writing !

Great one! Was this one written for a particular occasion?

Well, one of my friends was strumming guitar the other day..and the seething turbulence of that mystic tune somewhat forced me to write these lines at once..
