Wading through the waves of your seething thoughts
Waving back to receding woes of all sorts
High atop the hills awaits my weeping conscience
Deep beneath the seas...one dissipating resistance..
Beyond these incessant rains..
It's the same old living hell.
Eyes of lies vie for something to tell....
One eye shivers, while other restrains...
Like all your embellished dreams
Weaving a tapestry of broken colors
Sunken eyes strive to starve at midnight-
To see the mind-clock ticking making cold jeers-
At your tears while your fears fight....

Awesome!! The grim tricks of the mind... the pleading, the longing, the avoiding,
the shrinking.. and in the end, the waiting...
Loved the depth and power in this poem Sayan.. dark and compelling!! Brilliant stuff!

You know, you should try participating in this week's poetry potluck (at Jingle Poetry)... your poems soooo go with the theme!
I really enjoy your work, Sayan!
Beautiful poem - thoughts likened to ocean waves, one's conscience buried like the ocean deep. Well done.
first time here, and i too like the way you link the unconscious mind to an ocean, very lyrical too.
Lovely poem. Came here via One Shot Wednesday. My first visit. Hope you play more in the One Shot world. My One Shot submission is HERE.
nice one shot...oh how the mind twists...you bring a lot of emotion to the table...

I read this several times. The eyes are piercing here and frightening. I think in so many places these days, women go about in constant fear. I felt that distrust here. Interesting read. Thank you. (@beachanny)
I enter into a lullaby that is wrought with anything but tranquility. Sadly the words you portray are the only night-time lullaby some children ever hear.
Thoughtful and strong my friend.
Glad you made it over to One Shot - we are never surprised at the level of talent that is in the blogsphere
hope to read more of your work
